The Atari 2600 Video Computer System (VCS), introduced in 1977, was the most popular home video game system of the early 1980's. This emulator will run most Atari ROM images, so that you can play your favorite old Atari 2600 games in GNU/Linux.

Because it's capable of running Linux, it's not difficult to compile Stella for the PS3. If you'd like to take a whirl at compiling your own build of Stella for PlayStation 3/Linux, EmuWikiAdmin has posted a guide on his website. It can be found here.

Bill Blake`s build of Stella for PlayStation 3/Linux has all the features and compatibility of the original Stella. In fact, very little changes were made at all. Speed suffers a bit due to the hardware limits of the PS3, but not enough to make a noticeable difference in any of the several games we tested. If you don`t have the skills needed to compile Stella yourself, then give this convenient RPM installer a try.
