So...i played the one before this..Morrowind and it was very fun. i enjoyed the free roam RPGness of it. however it was full of glitches and crazy cheats that made it not so fun once you learned them. i havent tried oblivion because im afraid its full of the same errors. have any of you tried it? better? worse? let me know  |

I haven't played it. I don't have a 360 myself, so my experience is limited to whatever happens to be on display at Wal-mart or Gamestop and games I play at a friends house. I do have a fond place in my heart for "free roam RPGness" tho.

Well, imagine Grand Theft Auto in the dark ages...thats elder scrolls. very fun, but sometimes glitchy because of the amount of detail they put into the game.I dont dislike them for it though, there sacrificing a few things in order to begin taking games to the next level.

I enjoyed Morrowind immensely, until my sister's b/f added Daywalkers to it. Playing as a Vampire that can be in the sun was REALLY fun for about 15 minutes and then the whole game was ruined for me. I hear that Oblivian is really good. My guess is you would really enjoy it as long as you could avoid researching it on the internet. But as soon as you went to read up on it or talk about it, you'll run across some crazy awesome cheat, have to try it, and then totally ruin the game for you.

yea once i found out you could jump in shops, stick yourself in the roof and steal shit without getting caught....i never worked for anything again. also if you drop your gold on the ground before you tlak to the thieves guild guy, you get your bounty erased for free:P

Yea, I did the one where you drop the money around the corner and then talk to the thieves guild guy. I didn't know about the roof one though. There was another where you'd jam the triggers on a certain screen or something like that and your sword attack skill would glitch to insanely high. After that I'd kill guards, take their armor, go to the thieves guild guy, drop my money, talk to him, pick up my money, and sell the armor. DESTROYED the game for me.

haha yea, im actually paying a friend 200 gold on WoW for his copy of oblivion because he hates it lol. good deal i think so i will know for myself soon. |

Yeah you guys got it right, I always try to play through a game before I look up cheats or discuss it online. I really like Final Fantasy and each one has a strategy guide you can buy for it. I like to buy the game and guide. I put the guide up and play till the end without it. Then I start over and play with the guide once.

that's how i play zelda. I'll beat it on my own, and then go back and use the guide to find all the side missions.

OK so i actually got this game today...here is my review so far (keep in mind I'm not far in)
OMFG!!!!! this game is amazing and definitely worth $50 of anyones money. The combat system works first and third person magnificently, and all the visuals are crisp and stunning. so far the story is in depth and interesting, and the free roam abilities are unreal.
